Statement Lune Necklace III
Luminous violet glass crescents are linked together with a hand-fabricated sterling silver chain of the same shape in this statement necklace by AUR Jewelry.
Crafted by artist Bianca Abreu, this piece was featured in Specific Gravity’s NYC Jewelry Week 2025 exhibition, Divinations, within Abreu’s Orbiculum I, a wooden jewelry case illuminated by a blown-glass “crystal ball.” The interplay of glass and light transforms this necklace into both object and oracle, evoking divination as a meditation on that which is below the surface. Abreu received her BFA in sculpture from Pratt Institute and is currently a resident artist at Brooklyn Metal Works.
